HID Digital, Inc. designs and develops power reduction solutions for high intensity discharge (HID) lighting that is used in industrial, commercial and outdoor lighting. HID Digital's solutions use state-of-the art dimmable electronic ballasts, & controls that can deliver more than 50% reduction in energy costs with a return on investment of less than two years.

The HID Digital Difference

HID lighting is the most efficient kind of lighting in use today and accounts for 26% of all lighting used globally. Virtually all of this lighting uses simple "core and coil" to drive the lamps. They are reliable but extremely inefficient as they reduce the potential lumen output over time and are not dimmable. With record consumption of electric power there is pressure to bring on more capacity to the grid. At the same time building managers are looking for ways to reduce rising electricity costs.

HID Digital's dimmable electronic ballasts reduce power consumption by more than 50% for the same amount of light output over the traditional technologies and extend lamp life significantly. Furthermore, these ballasts can be controlled by building management systems for even greater savings. Reducing the Carbon Footprint

Electric power generation for lighting accounts for approximately 8% of global CO2 emissions, approximately 2.2 Billion Tons (greenhouse gases). HID lighting alone accounts for more than 600 Million Tons of CO2 per year.
